In addition to many of the usual domestic Pop and Rock suspects, we have also turned our attention to include the rest of the world. In our files, you’ll find a number of Rock en Español musicians (Café Tacuba from Mexico, Aterciopelados from Colombia, others), Cui Jian (China’s most important rock star, whom we’ve photographed three times), rappers and DJs from around the globe, like M.I.A. from Sri Lanka, Daara J from Senegal and Talvin Singh from India via England, even an Indonesian rock band (Krakatau) and a Thai Rock Star (Sek Loso). Many of these artists passed in front of our cameras during our twenty years (and counting) of photographing for Central Park SummerStage.
