Our Dance archive begins in the early 1970’s with the extraordinarily creative
period which began when Russian “defectors” Rudolf Nureyev, Natalia Makarova and, later,
Mikhail Baryshnikov arrived in the West. Since New York City continues to be the dance
capitol of the world, we have extensive documentation of most major Ballet and Modern
Dance companies from the U.S., Europe and around the globe. Our ongoing focus on all aspects
of dance also enables us to offer ethnic and non-Western dance, tap dance, and social and
popular dance images to fill your needs.
